 What are your fees?
Fees for services provided are based on the fee schedule recommended by the  B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Individual 50min session $110 plus HST
Couple / Family 90min session $150 plus HST
Who pays for counselling therapy?
Many Extended Health Care (EHC) Insurances cover the counselling services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Fees of a RCC are sometimes paid by third parties such as the Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP), ICBC, or the Workers Compensation Board. Please check with your institution, employer, insurance company, or any applicable third parties to confirm coverage.
Fees are to be paid in full directly by the clients at each session unless third party payments have arranged in advance. You will be provided with a receipt upon payment to submit a claim to your benefits providers if applicable.
What if I cannot afford the counselling therapy cost?
Pistos strives to provide services to people who are in need of services. We believe money should not be standing in the way of receiving counselling therapy. Therefore, reduced fee schedule is available to clients in financial need. However, there are limited spaces each time period and the service waiting time is generally longer than usual. We request clients who are financially able do not apply for reduced fee schedule so that those who are in need will receive counselling therapy as soon as possible.
What if I cancel an appointment with you?
24 hours prior notice is required to cancel any appointment. Except in extreme circumstances, clients who fail to arrive for their session or who cancel their session with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for the scheduled session.
